Ctrl-O (control – oh) is an access control product designed to make life managing access to a space much cheaper and easier.  We started with open source hardware and software to quickly create a cost-effective system for our local makerspace Lowell Makes.   The goal was to allow our makerspace to be able to easily manage giving and removing access to space based on if you’re a current member (you’ve actually paid your membership dues).  This means that there is minimal maintenance for an organization that can’t afford an expensive access control product or a full-time employee to manage it.

There’s a lot more coming on details of this system, but for if you’re interested, please reach out!
